Saratoga Springs My New Home- Solo in Saratoga Springs
I step thru the doors and instantly love Saratoga Springs Resort. It is the only WDW resort I’ve never been in, we have driven thru on the Magical Express but that was it. It’s beautiful. I did online check in so I went up to the counter and got checked in right away. And my room was ready! I had requested 3rd floor in Congress Park and got exactly that. The Cast Member that checked me in was lovely, she was from Brooklyn originally and we chatted for a few minutes while I waited on Bell Services to come get me and my case of water I had shipped in.
Bell services arrived after maybe 10 minutes and wished me away on a golf cart to my room. My bell services Cast Member, Juan, pointed out some things on the way showing me the main pool and the bus stops. When we whipped into Congress Park he made sure I saw the temporary bus stop as they were working on the real one. He was very friendly and a talker. I tipped him a little extra because 1) I didn’t get change before I left home and 2) when we were riding over chatting he told me it must be busy today because they had just called him in on his day off.
I opened the door to my room and stepped in. Immediately I was impressed. It was so nice. And open and seemed roomy. I ran over to the balcony and looked out the window and saw this:
Oh my goodness its Downtown Disney! Like right there! Just there! I stood and stared for a while. Then I remembered I need to photograph every inch of the room for my own collection of WDW photos and this trip report. Oh and to show DH what he is missing. I hope he enjoys his teepee (which he REALLY slept in no joke). So here we go.

And the best for last: the view!
(well not exactly the best pictures, Matthew had the good camera in Montana, but decent for my point and shoot)
I had to do a conference call one day for work and this is where I did it from. It made work alot more bearable! I spent a lot of time out here on the balcony soaking up some sun and enjoying the music and sounds coming from Downtown Disney.
As I was getting ready to head to the parks the phone rang, I picked it up and it was the lovely Cast Member that checked me in, calling to make sure the room was to my liking and that I got settled in ok. She even added a motherly “now is that location ok with you, traveling alone I want you to feel safe”. I thought it was super sweet and my mom would have loved her. I assured her I was super satisfied hung up and got ready to head off to the parks.
